“Still going strong” – the Flu
Don’t let the flu stop your plans. Find answers to your questions about flu vaccines.
Flu vaccines are conveniently located at your local pharmacy or doctor's office.
You or your child are covered. A flu vaccine is no cost to you at an in-network pharmacy or provider.
Plan benefits may include no-cost transportation to get you to the pharmacy, an event, or a provider. If you or your child have a case manager, they can help you schedule an appointment or arrange for at-home vaccination.
It’s best to be vaccinated before the flu begins spreading in your community. September and October are generally good times to be vaccinated against flu. Ideally, everyone should be vaccinated by the end of October.
Vaccination is still recommended because flu most commonly peaks in February, and significant flu virus activity can continue into May.
